2010 YARD AND GARDEN WASTE PICK-UP SCHEDULE |

Event Details:
Alpine Disposal will be picking up your Yard Waste in Annable and Warfield areas every second week starting April 2 until October 29.
Please place your tied CLEAR PLASTIC BAGS in your normal pick-up spot for pick-up.
Items that WILL be picked up by Alpine are:
Leaves, Thatched Grass, Grass Clippings, Garden Waste.
Tree Branches up to 6" in diameter, MUST BE TIED, so that the contractor can easily pick them up.
These items WILL NOT BE PICKED UP --
rocks, concrete, lumber, appliances, etc.....

WARFIELD POOL STAFF:
POOL MANAGER
The qualified applicant will perform a variety of duties in the day–to–day planning, scheduling, reporting, maintaining the seasonal operation of the pool, and above all, have enthusiasm for making the pool a safe and fun place for the community.
The successful candidate must be 19+ years of age with a minimum of two years of
Pool management experience and a thorough knowledge of the care and maintenance of swimming pool equipment and supplies; a basic working knowledge of the operation and maintenance of filtration and chlorination systems; possess the knowledge and skill to perform water quality tests and be able to make adjustments to the pool chemistry as needed.
This candidate must be a dynamic leader that will be responsible for the planning and ensuring readiness of programs; planning special events; monitoring and training pool staff, lifeguarding and instructing lessons and excellent public relations skills to deal with staff and public.
REQUIRIED COMPLETED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current National Lifeguard Service Award –Pool Option (NLS)
- Standard First Aid (or equivalent)
- CPR “C”
- Water Safety Instructor (WSI)
- Lifesaving Instructor (LSI)
- WHMIS
- Pool Operator Level 1
-Any other teaching certificates would be an asset
A Criminal Record Check will be required, if a successful candidate.

Duties to commence: May 3 – September 4, 2010

LIFEGUARDS / INSTRUCTORS
The successful candidate must be reliable and self-motivated who can work independently and as a team player. Should be able to follow the safety procedures of the pool to ensure the protection of the customers, staff and facility; be able to perform tasks assigned by the Pool Manager related to the operation and maintenance of the pool; be able to supervise public swim, waterslide and spray park; be able to instruct swim lessons. They should also be familiar with the operation and maintenance of the pool and related equipment.
Required COMPLETED Qualifications:
SENIOR GUARDS:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Hold a current National Lifeguard Service Award
- Hold a current Lifesaving Instructor Certificate
- Hold a current Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Certificate
- Hold a current Standard First Aid/Aquatic Emergency Care (AEC) Certificate
- Hold a current CPR – “C” Level Certificate
- Any other Aquatic Awards will be an asset
- Pool Operators Certificate an asset
JUNIOR GUARDS:
- Must be at least 17 years old
- Hold a current National Lifeguard Service Award
- Hold a current Lifesaving Instructor Certificate
- Hold a current Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Certificate
- Hold a current Standard First Aid/Aquatic Emergency Care (AEC) Certificate with a current CPR – “C” Level Certificate
- Any other Aquatic Awards will be an asset
A Criminal Record Check will be required if a successful candidate.

Duties to commence: Mid-May – August, 2010

POOL CASHIER
The successful candidate must be reliable and self-motivated who can work independently and as a team player under the supervision of the Pool Manager to be responsible for the Pool’s money and the Sugar Shack merchandise.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Must have the ability to work with numbers
- Must be able to work with the public, be polite and courteous
- Must have the ability to handle money, make change, work on a cash register, adding machine and Debit Machine to complete daily reports
- Current First Aid certificate
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Admit people into the pool area
- Be responsible for completing daily deposits and attendance reports
- Be responsible to keep an accurate record of daily swimmers
- Maintain a balanced cash box
- Keep the Sugar shack neat and tidy
- Sell and keep track of the items in the Sugar Shack
- Answer the phone
- Book swimming lessons
A Criminal Record Check is required if a successful candidate.
Wages to be discussed during the interview period.
Duties to commence: June – August 2010
Return your completed Summer Employment Application and Resume to the Village of Warfield Municipal Office by 4:30 p.m. April 16, 2010.
PARK MAINTENANCE CREW
The successful candidates must be reliable and self-motivated who can work
independently and as a team player with minimum supervision. You will be responsible for park and playground maintenance, Village beautification and minor facility maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Must hold an “Unrestricted” Class 5 Driver’s License
- Must hold a valid First Aid Certificate
- Preference will be given to Residents of Warfield
- Must be returning to college or university in the Fall
- Any other certificates will be an asset
A Criminal Record Check is required, if a successful candidate.
Wages to be discussed during the interview period.
Duties to commence: May – August 2010.
