 SENIOR CHEF / COMMUNITY KITCHEN PROGRAM

Event Details:
To make this a more versatile cooking program, Val has decided to combine the Senior Chef and the Community Kitchen Programs together, which will open up these wonderful programs to more people.

This group of chefs meet once a month to cook three different food items that are taken home for only $4.00 / person.

Maximum class size will be 10 chefs, so don't miss out, register with Val today.
The next class will be on Wednesday, February 10, starting at 10:30 am until 2:00 pm.

 CBAL Program - LOVE 2 LEARN

This is a program for parents or caregivers and their preschoolers. Components of the program include parents and preschoolers exploring and learning together, a structured story time, parent discussions, a healthy snack, instructions on how to make simple materials and household items into “learning toys,” craft activities, and a book lending library.

 TAI CHI

Tai Chi Chuan is a martial art that is usually practiced to promote health and vitality to give you increased flexibility, better balance, coordination, stronger mental focus and a sense of rejuvenation. Empahsis will be placed on fluid motion, balance and on generating movement for relaxation.

6 classes will be offered starting Tuesday, March 23 - April 27, 2010.

Time: 4:30-5:30 pm

 BRIDGE DAYS

Event Details:
The Bridge days will begin again in the New Year. There will be a slight change to the location for this event, it will be in the Main Hall of the Community Hall.

These card days are for anyone wishing to play a socail game of cards on a Monday afternoon.

Bridge days will be the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month.

Four players are needed to make up a table, so if you would like to play, please let the Village Office know.

Traditional Flow Yoga focuses on technique and alignment to increase flexibility, strength, concentration, balance and coordination.

Flow Yoga is the connection between body, breath and mind to help decrease stress and increase over-all well-being.

 GIRL GUIDES IN WARFIELD

Girl Guides....Almost "100" and still going strong!!!!

Girl Guides of Canad-Guides du Canada will be turning "100" in 2010 and Columbia District, which includes Beaver Valley, Trail/Warfield & Rossland, will be celebrating by sharing an exciting, well-rounded, girl-oriented program for all girls between ages 5-17+.

Our program include:
SPARKS -- 5-6 year olds
BROWNIES -- 7-8 year olds
GUIDES -- 9-11 year olds
PATHFINDERS -- 12-14 year olds
RANGERS -- 15-17+

If you would like to register your daught or want to become a leader, our registration dates are as followed: Trail/Warfield - Tuesday, Sept. 15 from 6:30 - 7:30 pm;
Rossland: Wednesday, Sept.16 from 6:00-7:30 pm at the United Church.
