Montcalm Road Lock Block Retaining Wall

Construction of the Montcalm Road lock block retaining wall will commence on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, and continue until the end of July. Contractors will mobilize concrete blocks to the site below Beaver Bend Park from Wednesday, July 17th until Friday, July 19th. Construction will start on Monday, July 22 and continue through the end of July. The Montcalm pedestrian trail will be closed to all pedestrian traffic between these dates and construction fencing will be installed with appropriate signate at either end of the trail near the Centennial Pool and the bottom end of Beaver Bend park. The Village of Warfield appreciates your anticipated cooperation. The project is included in the Village’s 2024 Capital Budget in the amount of $168,500 and is being funded from the Growing Communities Fund.  In 2023 the Village received $1.193 million from the Province to help communities build community infrastructure and amenities. Council, at their regular meeting held on July 15, 2024, awarded the primary construction contract to Sorenson Excavating Ltd. in the amount of $76,727. Yard and Garden Waste Pickup Schedule 2024

Yard and Garden Waste Pickup starts on Friday, April 19, 2024. Reminder:  GFL, our contractor for picking up yard and garden waste, will pick up yard and garden waste in recyclable brown compostable paper bags in addition to reusable containers (eg: existing garbage bins, storage bins, recycle bins, laundry baskets, cardboard boxes, etc).
