The Warfield Youth Action Network (WYAN) is looking for partial maternity leave coverage as a Programming Assistant for in person youth activities. The purpose of this position is to support the YAN Coordinator in providing activities for local youth while adhering to Provincial Health Orders and Covid-19 regulations.
As part of the Columbia Basin Youth Network, the Warfield YAN works closely with the other local YAN’s to provide activities and support for local youth aged 11-18.
We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills who is responsible and able to work with minimal supervision.
This is a contracted position starting as soon as possible and running until the end of January 2022 with the possibility of an extension and/or further opportunity to work for the YAN.
The time commitment is roughly 7-8h/weekly over two afternoons a week with some flexibility.
Pay will be based on experience. Previous experience working with youth is a plus.
