COVID-19 (Coronavirus) INFORMATION AND UPDATES AS OF APRIL 9, 2020

Due to the COVID-19 recommendations from the BC Provincial Health Minister for physical distancing, all Village of Warfield Facilities (Village Office; Warfield Community Hall and Warfield Preschool) are CLOSED to the public.

Warfield Parks are CLOSED until further notice. Playground equipment is cordoned off. Keep yourself and your families away from the equipment. This virus can remain on metal and plastic surfaces for many hours and is easily transferable to others.

At this time, ALL OPEN FIRES (including backyard cooking fires and yard waste burning) are NOT permitted within the Village. The Provincial Government has suspended all open burning in an effort to lower air pollution during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Village will NOT be issuing residential campfire permits.

Please be socially responsible and maintain distance between yourself and others (2m/6ft); you should only be in close proximity with your immediate family, in other words, those who live with you. Please remember the guidelines for social distancing and have these conversations with your children; this is about trying to help those most vulnerable in our community and prevent the spread of Covid-19.

There are many in our community who are immuno-compromised and self-isolating. While keeping your distance, call and check in on your neighbors, ask if they need any assistance or essential supplies.

As relevant information changes, updated Bulletins will be posted at the Municipal Office and the Warfield Community Hall and on our website and Facebook Page.
