The keeping of pets creates challenges and opportunities for those who are responsible for the care and control of these animals, as well as for other members of the community. Management of pets in the Village of Warfield is important not only for public health and safety, but also for the welfare of the animals themselves.
Dogs must be contained in their home, yard or a pen. Any dog that leaves the yard must be on a leash. The owner of a dog shall not allow a dog to defecate on any public or private property except for the property of the dog owner.
All dogs must be licensed with the Village of Warfield. Licenses are available at the Village Office.
A Bylaw Enforcement Officer may enter upon any property in order to ascertain whether the Bylaw is being followed.
